Palmwood Ridge is built as a cluster of shingle-roofed pavilions stepped down a wooded slope, with a two-level pool at the centre and the forested ridgeline behind. Most rooms look either into the palms or across the pool terrace.
The restaurant runs an Indonesian and Western menu through the day and a shorter à la carte menu at night. There is a small spa with two treatment rooms, and yoga is held on the upper deck most mornings.
Central Ubud is roughly fifteen minutes away by car. The resort runs a scheduled shuttle into town, and can arrange a driver by the half-day for trips further out.
